Okay, so tonight sucked.

First of all, poor Frank hasn’t been outside in a few days due to the crappy weather. So, he has super ADD on top of his already super ADD.

But, he was happy to see me. Not really interested in getting groomed. He just wanted to stretch his legs. I wanted to ride outside, but didn’t really want to get soaked. Had a long day at work and was feeling a bit like a baby.

We went in the indoor and started working. He was really good and trying at the trot. I wanted to work on more transitions, but it was hard with another horse in the ring, especially because it was a green horse. But, we got done what we needed to. The canter sucked, but both he and I weren’t in the best of moods. He just had too much energy and I was just irritated by the day.

Needless to say, the canter was heavy and strong. But, reflecting on it. I was a little strong myself and Frankie feeds off me so I shouldn’t be surprised.

But, I do have to say. I hate dressage. I’m sorry but I don’t know how anyone can enjoy being so damn picky on how a horse is carrying himself. I understand that it helps with everything. But, come on. I’m just not a naggy person and I feel like you are required to be a nag if you are riding dressage.
